I went to see a show at New London Theatre but their lift didn’t work, so London gave me and my carer another show to go and see for free. And we went back to the show that we booked in the first place. The lift is very small but I got my wheelchair in. But we still had a wasted journey to London and had to go again. The moral of the story always check lifts are working before you leave home.
And I went to Butlin’s for a music weekend in Bognor Regis and it is very accessible for wheelchairs and their accessible apartments are very good, but the lift was broken so I didn’t see the headline act which was annoying. But they gave me a discount on my next trip that I had.
I have been to lots of festivals over the years and I like going to Boomtown and Bestival, and all of the other ones that I can get to as they have accessible camping and they have got some viewing platforms at some of the stages. The site gets very hard to try and get wheelchairs through the mud when it's been raining so can be difficult to get about
