DJ Nose It

DJ NOSE IT

I have done some DJ gigs  for The Dorset Children’s Foundation, they’d went really well and I had got some good feedback.

My mate who is a DJ he has given me all of his music and his speakers! it was very kind of him. 😅 I have got thousands of songs, from the 50’s music, to today’s music and remixes to some mega mixes. I have got loads of choices.

I am using Pacemaker app to DJ, as I can get on with it. It has got a auto mix option, I know that is cheating but I don’t want to mess up of hitting something while I am playing to people. I do understand the BPM”s and what kind of music to mix.

If anyone can recommend a good app to DJ with some big buttons for me to hit, please let me know thank you.

DJing

The Night Garden was a part of The Bournemouth Emerging Arts Fringe. I was invited to DJ by my good friend Lisa Davies, who was running the Night Garden. I never DJ’d before in front of people, but it was really good and I really enjoyed it therefore I am setting up my own business DJing.

My jungle DJ booth

I can DJ with my nose because my hands don’t work properly. I have got a Dj name Dj Nose It.
I am going to do my mates silent disco and The Dorset Children’s Foundation disco”s

DJ Nose doing a mates silent disco.

I use my iPad to DJ as I can't use a laptop, I have got two DJ apps called Pacemaker and Djay, I'd started to use Pacemaker because I thought that it was good, but I was wrong!! When I was at my mates wedding doing a silent disco at their wedding in a field Pacemaker was keeping on asking me to connect to the internet, but there wasn't any 3G, I was very annoyed as I wanted to show off my mixing skills so in the end I had to play my playlist off of my Spotify.

I will let you know how Djay app goes, I have to download all of my music off the cloud if I can't get any internet connection.

If you have got some advice to help me. Please let me know, thank you.

IBIZA LEGENDS

I went to Butlin's in Bognor Regis for a banging music weekend. It was Ibiza Legends, playing classic dance music from the club scene on the white isle. It was amazing! Filled with alcohol, dancing and making some friends. I loved all of the music. I saw Chicane, Seb Fontaine, Rodger Sanchez and loads more acts and DJ's.

Everyone was very good with me.
Dancing, drinking and just having fun.
I was very happy.

I would totally recommend an Ibiza Legends weekend at Butlins, especially if you love your dance music and need accessible venues.

I didn't have any problems getting about in my wheelchair. The only problem was that the disabled toilets are too high to get my seat over the top.

The Dorset Children's Foundation

Thank you for your support, I have raised £102

I am an ambassador for The Dorset Children's Foundation, and I help arrange all of the events like Christmas parties, Horse riding, Days out, and fundraising events.

For my birthday  this year, I'm asking for donations to The Dorset Children's Foundation to help out with our children's events.

We aim to improve the lives of sick and disabled children by providing financial support towards medical expenses, therapies, equipment and life-enriching experiences not normally provided by The NHS.

We have no hierarchy and our shop is our head office, fundraising HQ & Admin Centre. Every penny donated to our Just Giving Website goes towards our causes.

We are big enough to make a difference, small enough to care.

Here is
My Fundraising Page Thank you very much.

The O2 London

I have been to see a few people at The O2. Rihanna, Fatboy Slim and Pete Tong Ibiza Classics.
They were all good experiences.

The O2 is efficient on their accessibility. They have got about five areas for wheelchairs with good views and lots of room to dance.

Rihanna: Number 2011

 Fatboy Slim: December 2016

Pete Tong: December 2018

International Day of People with Disability

I didn't know Boomtown were going to use my picture for International Day of People with Disability! It was a nice surprise when my mate tagged me in this post. ↴

Yesterday was the International Day of People with Disability we wanted to continue the mission of "empowering persons with disabilities and ensuring inclusiveness and equality."

We strive to be an inclusive community and believe that festivals should be accessible for all!  Did you know we offer free PA tickets, The Meadow accessible camping as well as other onsite assistance and facilities to help with this...?

Please do get in touch if you have requirements or suggestions and see link below for full details:

Wheelchair Access

I went to see a show at New London Theatre but their lift didn’t work, so London gave me and my carer another show to go and see for free. And we went back to the show that we booked in the first place. The lift is very small but I got my wheelchair in. But we still had a wasted journey to London and had to go again. The moral of the story always check lifts are working before you leave home.
And I went to Butlin’s for a music weekend in Bognor Regis and it is very accessible for wheelchairs and their accessible apartments are very good,  but the lift was broken so I didn’t see the headline act which was annoying. But they gave me a discount on my next trip that I had.

I have been to lots of festivals over the years and I like going to Boomtown and Bestival, and all of the other ones that I can get to as they have accessible camping and they have got some viewing platforms at some of the stages. The site gets very hard to try and get wheelchairs through the mud when it's been raining so can be difficult to get about
